When Sze Wa reached out to me with an inspo board of @badgalriri for her maternity session it was an IMMEDIATE yes from me 😍
These photos are giving bad-ass, powerhouse mama and I’m in love with every second of them!
So if you needed a reminder that your photos can be anything you want them to be, here it is!

Often times I get asked what’s better, doing a newborn session in home or in the studio and there’s truly no right answer for that!

I always say it’s a matter of which battle you’re willing to tackle, tidying up parts of your home to be photo ready or leaving the house to get to the studio. And it’s all about personal preference at the end of the day!

When Bianca reached out with this vision in mind I was floored because I knew the results were going to be as stunning as they are! I mean look at these, how dreamy!?

July and August have been booooomin’ with babies! I’ve been loving all of the sweet baby love I’ve seen the last few weeks 🥹😭

I still don’t even have words for how incredible of an experience this Elysian Elegance Styled Shoot was 🥹
@thecakevault.phl and I worked for over two months making this come to life, and in the end we had 21 amazing women and minority owned businesses working together to make this beautiful day a reality.

I love this engagement sessions for five million reasons, but the most meaningful of all is that Ashley and Adam came down from Rochester, NY for their session 🥹😭

Ashleigh is a friend of mine from back in NY and when she reached out about having me shoot her wedding I cried like seven times because I was so honored she wanted me to be the one to photograph her special day. To have them come to Philly for this adorable date night engagement session had me OVER THE MOON 😭

And look at how stunning the results were 😍 I mean we nailed it with dreamy cocktail and ice cream date and it’s got me even more excited for next fall and their big day!

Had too much fun laughing and goofing around with these guys! It’s not often I get to work with kids who are past the toddler stage and wow, did I love it! And to be fair, when an 8 year old tells you he thinks you’re still young, how can you have a bad day?! 😂💁🏻‍♀️

I LOVE birthday sessions! Why?! 

- It’s giving celebrating yourself! And how often do we truly take time to do that? You’ve conquered another year of life, learning lessons and growing along the way. Why not honor that?!

- They’re always so much fun! It gives you a chance to showcase your personality and make you the star of the show for a bit. And as a professional hype girl extraordinaire, I love being there to make you feel like a million damn bucks!

Life is far too short to wait for the “perfect moment” to take photos with your family. 

There are a million little reasons why you could put off family photos for one more year, but there’s one resounding reason why you shouldn’t. Time is a thief! Kids grow like Philly weeds, alarmingly quick, and our parents grow older with each day. And as I age, I notice time flying past me so much faster than ever before.

So don’t wait! Get the family together (yes aligning schedules will suck, and yes if there are a lot of young kids involved you may need a drink after 😂) but just friggen do it! Having photos of you surrounded with your loved ones are the mementos your family will be able to cherish across generations.

When everything else is cooler than the cake you’re supposed to be smashing 😂😂
